How to heal after
being cheated on

You're months past the discovery and still living in it. You're stuck in the anger, the checking his phone, and the questions that never get a good enough answer. You've read the books. You've maybe sat in therapy, but you're still suffering.

Learning how to heal after being cheated on is hard, painful work, but it's possible, and I can show you how.

Charity Craig, marriage coach who helps women heal after being cheated on

The Crisis is Over, but You Can't Move Past It.

Maybe he's doing everything "right." The apologies, the transparency, and meeting every need you've named, but it still isn't enough. That's because no amount of "right" from him can undo what's wounded in you.

Or maybe he isn't doing anything right at all. He's not putting in the work, and no matter how much you beg and plead with him to show up for you, it never seems enough to get him to change.

You're not going crazy. You're grieving. You're trying to find your way through the broken pieces.

Even though your husband was the one who broke his promise shattering you, he can't put you back together. He can't crawl inside you and heal you.

Only you can do that.

Every day you wait for him to change is a day you're not becoming the woman you're meant to be.

Your journey

The path to healing
after infidelity

There are 4 stages of recovery: Shock, Unraveling, Recovery, and Resiliency. Whichever stage you're in, we work through the four movements with a 12 week commitment. We don't rush them and we don't skip them, even when the pain is intense.

Learn about your recovery stage
One

Get Your Footing

Before you can rebuild anything, the shaking has to stop.

In this movement, you'll learn how to:

  • Stop the hypervigilance and fight-or-flight spiral, so your body isn't sounding the alarm all day long
  • Get better sleep, even on the nights your mind won't quiet down
  • Calm the panic attacks that seem to come out of nowhere, so they stop running your day
  • Remember how to eat again, when your body's forgotten what hunger even feels like
  • Steady the racing heart, shallow breathing, and shakiness that show up when you least expect them
  • Learn somatic tools you can use in the car, at work, at 3am, to bring your body back to calm in real time

We're not here to bury the anxiety or push it down. We're here to give your body what it actually needs to regulate itself, so you can move through each day with more peace and more stability, even while so much around you is still unresolved.

Two

Face the Truth of It

The pain isn't your enemy, and neither is the grief.

In this movement, you'll learn how to:

  • Break the frantic urge to search for one more detail, one more clue, one more answer
  • Interrupt the obsessive replay loop, so the same moment stops hijacking your day, over and over, a hundred times
  • Move through the intense emotions—the rage, the grief, the fear that's suffocating you—instead of stuffing them down or letting them run your life
  • Rewrite the stories you're telling yourself because of what happened
  • Release the fear of the truth, so it stops having power over you

We'll name what actually happened, out loud, without flinching, and instead of avoiding the pain that comes with it, we sit in it, process it, and finally let it heal. This is the part most women skip, and the reason so many stay stuck in their suffering for years instead of months. You won't have to do it alone, and once you've truly faced it, it stops controlling you.

Three

Rebuild Yourself

Your husband hurt you, but he can't heal you. Only you can do that.

In this movement, you'll learn how to:

  • Stop sacrificing yourself on the altar of his happiness
  • Stop blaming yourself for his choices
  • Fill your own love tank, instead of running on empty waiting for him to fill it
  • Stop comparing yourself to the other woman and giving her free rent in your mind
  • Meet your own needs, instead of hoping he'll finally notice them
  • Validate your own emotions, instead of needing his permission to feel what you feel
  • Become the wife, woman, and mother you were created to be
  • Set boundaries that protect your peace, without guilt and without over-explaining yourself
  • Root your self-worth in who you are, not in how he's behaving on any given day

Before you can rebuild your marriage, you have to rebuild yourself, so your stability no longer rises and falls with his choices.

Four

Move Forward in Confidence

With clarity and strength, you'll be able to move forward in wholeness in your life and your marriage.

In this movement, you'll learn how to:

  • Rebuild trust in your own judgment, your own intuition, your own choices again
  • Show up in your marriage with confidence and clarity, even if he still isn't doing the work
  • Set healthy boundaries, so you know exactly what you'll engage with and what you won't
  • Have the hard conversations without escalating to a screaming match
  • Reconnect with your husband and rebuild the friendship again, if that's where things are headed
  • Move forward in life and in love without losing yourself in the process, ever again

This movement isn't about guaranteeing your marriage survives, because no one can promise you that, and I never will. It's about you knowing exactly what to do, no matter what happens next.

If your marriage doesn't survive the journey, you'll be able to walk away with confidence, knowing you loved until the very end.

I'm in your corner

I've spent over a decade sitting with women in the year after betrayal. I know the 2 a.m. version of this pain, and I know how quickly you feel like you should get over it.

I won't rush you, and I won't hand you a script. We work through your anger, your fears, your faith, and your marriage (where it's actually at). We build from there, slowly, until you recognize yourself again.

Questions

Before you begin

What is my commitment?

This is a 12-week coaching program with one video coaching session each week, plus 2 voice-notes per month. Each session is customized to exactly where you are, working through the four movements that guide the healing process, and drawing on whatever you need most in that moment: somatic work, mental grounding, self-care, emotional grieving, boundaries, healing conversations, or conflict resolution.

Outside of our sessions, you'll be asked to set aside at least 30 minutes a day for your own healing work. The real shift isn't just in the hour we spend together, but in the space you make for yourself the rest of the week.

After the 12 weeks, we'll reevaluate together and decide what's next.

Is this different from therapy?

This is coaching, not therapy. My approach comes from over a decade immersed in the relationship and personal growth space by learning directly from experts in inter- and intrapersonal work, combined with personal and real-world experience coaching 100+ women through affair recovery. I'm also a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner, trained in tools that help create fast, lasting shifts in how you think, feel, and respond.

My coaching blends emotional, mental, and spiritual healing with practical, actionable tools, so you're not just processing what happened, you're building real skills for what comes next.

Coaching works alongside therapy, not in place of it. If at any point I sense you'd benefit from additional clinical support, I'll always point you toward it.

What if he is still cheating?

This coaching is especially powerful if your husband is still in the affair, and you're not ready to end the relationship just yet. You don't have to have that decision figured out to start healing.

We'll focus on your inner stability by building the clarity, grounding, and self-connection you need to navigate this excruciating waiting period without losing yourself in it. This work isn't about waiting for him to change. It's about you staying whole while you wait, so that whatever you ultimately decide, you're deciding from empowerment and clarity, not fear or pain.

Will this actually help my marriage?

I can't guarantee your marriage will survive, or that he'll never cheat again. No one honestly can. What I can tell you is this: your marriage will transform as you transform. It does take both spouses committed to rebuilding, but when you heal your side of the street, your marriage is already halfway healed.

Part of that healing is releasing him to do his own work in his own way and his own time, even if right now, he's not doing any work at all. His timeline isn't yours to control, and waiting on him isn't a requirement for you to begin.

This work is never separate from your marriage. It's the foundation of it.

Does my husband need to participate?

This program is just for you. It's a space to focus fully on your own healing, without needing him to participate or "do the work."

That said, if at some point it feels helpful for him to join a session or two to bring clarity or awareness around something we're working through together, we can always make that happen. This stays your process.

Is this faith-based?

As a person of faith myself, my coaching is grounded in universal spiritual principles that apply across any religious background, not just my own. I don't lead with faith explicitly in our sessions, but if faith is a central part of your life, I'm glad to bring in a more explicit faith-based framework as we work together.

What if I need to cancel, and can I come back later?

You can cancel at any time with no penalty. I'll refund whatever sessions are remaining and unused. This program should never feel like something you're stuck in.

You're always welcome back. If you step away and want to return later, you'll simply recommit to the full 12-week program at the same rate, picking back up where you are.
